A showroom Table



This was a collaborative commission with a carpenter friend who had an Indonesian teak door for the table top. I proposed an arched leg arrangement to balance the needs of standing close with stability, and also to highlight the wood slab.

The design was simple enough but exacting in its craftsmanship requirements. I was pleased how stable it actually was as I had been concerned about this during both design and fabrication.

The metal was powder coated matte black which felt nice in an indoor environment where the wood top with all its character also became a backdrop for showroom goods:
