High Desert Woodshed

Limited to two days, and the contents of a single pickup truck, I needed a scheme which allowed for a nice enough family weekend to happen, while an aesthetically pleasing and functional shed was built.

As hoped, we set the posts and poured concrete on the first day, then easily completed it the next day. There was minimal waste in the metal, with each piece of roofing was cut just once about 1/3 of the way in. Afterward, we used a scrap of ply for the bench to the side, edging it with the triangular rips off of the 2x4 purlins--appropriately supported by firewood rounds.

The siting of the shed also took into consideration shielding the view to a newer neighbor's house beyond.
